Deck Renovation — Elk River, MN
The structure of this deck was still in good condition, but the decking had rotted through. The railings had the same problem.
We removed all the rotten components and replaced the decking with new pressure-treated lumber. The old railings were completely removed and replaced with new composite railings. We also painted the rim joists around the perimeter black to match the new railings.
The result is a clean combination of warm walnut-toned decking with black railings and black trim around the deck. We were able to preserve the existing structure while giving the deck a completely new look.

Porch Renovation — Andover, MN
The columns supporting the porch roof were resting on a rotted base. The steps and railings were also severely deteriorated.
As part of the repair:
-
Several rows of damaged deck boards were replaced.
-
The base and support areas under the structural columns were reinforced.
-
The damaged steps were replaced.
-
The stair stringer connections were reinforced.
-
New railings were built and installed.
The project restored the damaged areas of the porch and strengthened the key structural connections.

Porch Renovation — Minneapolis, MN
This deck was in very poor condition and had serious structural issues. We replaced the load-bearing posts while being able to preserve the existing joists. However, the rim joists had to be completely replaced.
We also replaced the stringers and stairs, installed new decking, and completely rebuilt the railings.
Instead of heavy wooden railings, we chose lightweight aluminum. They are lighter not only in weight but also visually. The clean, slim lines make the entire deck feel more open, modern, and less bulky.
